Till Manager

OVERVIEW

The Till Manager is what helps us keep track of every Dollar/Euro/Krone/Yen... etc that come through each of your cash drawers!

Lets review how each portion of the Till Manager works for you.

  • Cash IN
  • Cash OUT
  • Expenses
  • Print
  • Current Shift

To access the till Manager, log into the terminal (POS1, POS2, etc.) and select the Point of Sale Module on the left. Next to the check window, select Till. It is the second to last option.

Cash IN

// This is used for two scenarios! Simply select the Cash In button and enter in the description, and amount being ADDED to the cash drawer

1. Add your float for the current shift

2. Adding additional cash to the drawer when it gets too low

Cash OUT

// Again, this is used for two different scenarios. Select the Cash Out button, and enter the description and total.

1. Removing excess monies from the cash drawer

2. Closing out Till for current shift.

Add Expense

// This is used when you have to take money directly from the drawer to pay for something. To add an expense, select the 'Add Expense' button and add in the description and amount. This way, at the end of the shift, you know why $23.85 is missing from the drawer.

Examples:

1. Video game ate a customers coins

2. Pay the pizza guy for party order

3. Ran out of paper products and had to send someone to the store.

Print

// You can print a Till Sheet at any time during the day and know exactly how much money is in the drawer for that time period. the small ticket will print directly to the receipt printer... It will not effect the drawer what so ever! The ticket will print out all details on the Till Manager that you are currently seeing in each section.

Current Shift

// (OPTIONAL) The 'Current Shift:' drop down is an optional feature, and it MUST be changed manually before each shift begins, if you plan to use it. This setting allow you to break down the totals for each shift. If you do not use this feature then all totals will fall under SHIFT 1 by default.
