Required triggers
To ensure correct tracking with Google Analytics in Google Tag Manager, our pageView custom event trigger must be configured. To set this up, read our guide on Importing Resova's Google Tag Manager Triggers & Variables.
In addition, we also recommend setting up a Google analytics Variable. This will help you quickly setup the Google Analytics tags.
To create the variable in your Google Tag Manager account, click Variables on the left hand-side menu, and then New.
Enter a name for this new variable. Then click Variable configuration and in the list that appears, scroll down to select Google Analytics Settings.
In the Tracking ID field, enter your Google Analytics Tracking ID. This guide can help you find your Tracking ID in your Google Analytics account.
Select the More Settings option, then the Fields to Set option. Then click the Add Field button. Click the Field name input and select allowLinker. The Value field type is true.
Scroll down further and click the Cross Domain Tracking option. In the Auto Link Domains field, enter your own website URL and then your Resova booking site URL, separated by a comma. For example companywebsite.com,company.resova.us.
Click Save in the top right to save the variable.
