Now that you have the items created in the system you can go to the POS and find it in the correlating Category.
Select the item from it's category to add it to the check.
Click on the item to edit the quantity & assign a gift card to it
EXAMPLE #1 - Flexible G.C.
We will show you the steps to sell a 'flexible' $1 Gift Card.
In this example, we have changed the Quantity of the product to 20.
You can now either swipe the Gift Card through the Magtek reader, or manually enter the card number (like below), then click SEARCH
If the card is brand new it will not be registered in the system yet, so click YES! Then click CLOSE.
If a customer is reloading their Gift Card, it will not prompt you to register it again.

Now that the card is registered, make sure the gift card number is still in the field, and click search again. You will now see it listed in the box below, and can click OK to add it to the Gift Card Item.

You will see that the Quantity has updated along with the Gift Card listed below on the check itself.

EXAMPLE #2 Pre-Set G.C.
This time we will select a pre-set amount Gift Card. In this example, we chose a $25 Gift Card.

To sell the Gift Card, all you need to do is assign the gift card number to it.
Follow the same step you did in the last example by click on the Gift Card item, then 'Swipe Card'. Enter the GC number and complete the prompts.
FYI - No need to adjust the quantity! Unless your customer would like to purchase double the amount on the same card. |
