SMS Text Marketing

Send Marketing Messages directly to your customer's cell phone via SMS Texting!

PART I

Step 1: Sign up for a Twilio Account

// If you have not already created on account through Twilio, please ue the link below:


Step 2: Link Twilio to Clubspeed

// In order for you to be able to send messages from your Clubspeed portal, you will need to link the integration by logging into your twilio account under the Customer tab.

  • Open your /ADMIN portal
  • Navigate to SpeedText > Settings
  • Under the Provider Settings sections, enter the below details:
    • Account SID
    • Auth Token
    • Phone Number provided from Twilio
  • Save the settings!

PART II

Step 3: Create Message Template

// You will need to create your Message Template(s) before you can send anything out to your customers.

  • Log into your /SP_Admin
  • From the Customers tab, click on the SMS button
  • Click Manage Templates
  • Cick Create Templates
  • Enter the Template Name (EX: Happy Birthday!)
  • Enter in Message
  • Save Template

// This is also where you can edit and delete existing templates!



Step 4: Filter Customer List

// Create your SMS marketing blast list by using the filter functions on the Customer tab the same exact way you would for an Email Blast. Feel free to review this article for more details!

  • From the Customers tab, in the Filter By section, setup your filter.
    • Example: Show Customers who have a Birthday Today
  • Execute: Click on SEARCH button

Step 5: Send SMS

// Now, let's send your message template!

  • Click on SEND SMS
  • Select the template you wish to send out from the drop down.
  • Click the SEND button!

Once the message is sent, you are presented with a link to twilio’s log in page (https://www.twilio.com/login), a link to navigate back to the customer’s page, and a message instructing the you to check/log in to twilio if they’d like to see the status of the messages!
