Overview

The card printers are setup per terminal. The printer should be installed and configured as a normal Windows printer using the manufacturer drivers.

Control Panel Settings (per POS)

MembershipCardEncoderName: Name of Printer in Windows

MembershipCardPrinterName: Name of Printer in Windows

PrintMembershipCardModel: magicard, zebra or evolis (default)

Printing Too Dark?

In the Evolis settings there are 2 options for Front Side Printing and Back Side Printing.

Use the ‘Continuous Dithering’ setting in order to get the best looking print.


Cards coming out of the Back (not processing)

Check for a card that stuck in the machine that might not be able to see easily. The printer thinks there is a jam and is routing the card through the back to fix.


Additional Jam errors

Have them check for any jams in the printer feed. Have them open up the printer and remove the ribbon first, then check for any cards stuck.


Changing printer preferences

Changing setting like orientation will require a main engine restart for the change to  take effect.


Still not printing?

Check the "see whats printing" option and clear any documents left in queue. Afterwards have them restart the printer and their terminal and try printing again.
