SendGrid Instructions to customer

Full instructions after creating a SendGrid account:
We will need to get an API key from your SendGrid
If you don't have an account you can make a free account or strongly recommend paying for an account with the following link: SendGrid Pricing

 

If you plan to utilize Single Sign-On and want to send emails from multiple emails instead of a static address, you will need the Pro plan.

If you wish to create a new account, there is a trial of 60 days that we can start with to get the integration working but there is a hard cap of 100 emails a day.

You MUST have 2 Factor Authentication enabled on your account:
https://app.sendgrid.com/settings/auth
The integration will not work without it.
 
You must verify a Sender Identity :
 
This will be something you have to set up before we can continue. Essentially this will be a signature of your domain. It must be a valid domain and it cannot be a domain from "google" or "yahoo". It must be your own unique business domain.

 

Once verified, you must provide us with the domain that you verified so we can implement it into our SQL database.

Once this is all done, please naviage to the Dashboard:
 
Please then "Click Email API", then click "Integration Guide"

Click the "choose" option for the SMTP Relay

Name the API key "Clubspeed" and then please click "Create Key"

The highlighted YOUR_API_KEY will then change to a very long string of characters. Have them send us the exact key (everything that is highlighted) so we can implement it into the system.

Here is an example of what a key will look like (this key is an example key and will not work):

Once you have confirmed the key, please check the "I've updated my settings." and click "Next: Verify Integration"
We cannot view the API Key beyond this point as it is hidden for security purposes.
A new window will appear to "Verify Integration". Please be on standby to click that button while we set up the system to work properly. We strongly suggest giving us a call after you provide us with the API key.
