Labor Comparison Report
This report compares your total sales, to the over all labor cost of the date you select.
Labor Percentage - the overall payroll expenditure for your business
Revenue/Sales - the gross sales of the business
Purpose:
This key metric one must know so you can identify problems and opportunities to capture payroll cost savings.
In other words, if you see your payroll cost is currently superseding your net sales and are not expecting anymore events or rushes for the day/evening, you may decide to send a staff member or two home early to save in labor costs.
Or, you may wish to view your Labor Percentage on Mondays for the past month, so you know how to better schedule your staff for the following month. Maybe you need more staff, maybe you need less!
In order to get the best use out of this report you will need to utilize the below functions of CS:
HR > Payroll - Staff to clock in/out, have hourly wage entered into system to calculate
HR > Scheduling - Use the Staff Scheduling feature
The top section of the report will breakdown all Roles that are currently clocked in for the date(s) selected, and what the total cost of the role is (payroll). Note that there would be several employees with the same role working, and they are all accumulated under a single role's total.

The second half of the report lists out each individual sale by class.
The most important number on this report is the "Labor Percentage(Payroll/Sales) = 6.00 %"
