How to Setup and Use Loyalty Points

Your customers can now earn Loyalty Points based on the Credit Items they purchase, and then use these Loyalty Points in return to purchase other Credit Items. They will be able to track their points online, or in house. Just another great way to keep them coming back for more fun!

Step 1:  Create Your Loyalty Points Scheme

 

For each product, make sure you have already mapped out how many LP a customer will earn by purchasing said product, as well as, how many LP they will need to redeem the same product.

 

EXAMPLE 1

1 Race Item

Earns quantity 1 Loyalty Point

Requires quantity 10 loyalty points to be redeemed.

2 Race Item

Earns quantity 2 Loyalty Point

Requires quantity 15 loyalty points to be redeemed.

  1. In the /sp_admin, navigate to the Products tab. 
  2. You can either edit an existing Credit Item, or you can create a new one.
  3. Once you have the item open for editing, scroll to the bottom of the listed settings, and enter in the AWARD & REDEMPTION amounts.
  4. Save the item when you are finished.
    • Continue this process for all Credit Items.

Step 2: Assigning Loyalty Points to the Customer's Account

 

When you assign your customer to the credit item in the POS, it automatically assigns the Loyalty Point to their account as well. A 2 for 1 action, if you will!

 

  1. From the POS, add the credit item to the check and assign your customer as usual.
  2. This will automatically assign the LP to customer's account.
  3. Pay as normal.

 

 


 

Step 3: Redeeming Loyalty Points

 

When your customer is ready to redeem their Loyalty Points, your Cashier will simply click the ‘Use Loyalty Points’ button from the Edit Item window. The system will then check the assigned customer's account to make sure they have another LP to redeem.

 

There is no requirement on which step you start with!

A. Assign customer to Credit Item

B. Select 'Use Loyalty Points'

 

// In this example, I will select 'Use Loyalty Points' first. Then, I will assign the customer to the item for the credit.

 

 


 

 

Loyalty Points Balance

 

There are two ways your customer can check their loyalty point balance.

1. Ask a cashier to view from their profile at the POS.

 

 

 

2. Logging into the online Live Scoring website via /sp_center. They will click on the Profile option and login.

        If they haven't created a login yet, they can do so from the link at the bottom of the page.

 

 

 

Once logged in, they can see their entire profile; including Racer History, and Loyalty Points balance/history.

 

 

 


 

For the Accountants

 

-    Keep Track of Outstanding Points & Points Used    -

 

You will be supplied with two additional reports to keep track of Outstanding Loyalty points ( the points your customer's are saving up!) and the Loyalty History report so you can see what points are being earned and redeemed. These will be view-able from the reports module of the POS, as well as, from the /sp_admin portal.
