Epson Printer Installation
- New EPSON printers usually come with a default IP i.e. 192.168.192.168
- Add this IP through the server's Network configuration
- Next, go to EPSON TMNet Config
- The printer's IP can be set within here, as well
- Access the printer via the web (type the IP address within the web address bar)
- Disable the set PING (IP will no longer be configurable via TMNet, but also won't allow IP to change)
- Do the "Reset" after settings are changed
To tie a printer to a terminal
- Go to the SP_Admin
- Settings > Control Panel
- Choose which terminal needs the printer
- The two settings needing to be changed: cashDrawerName & ReceiptPrinterName
- The name of the two settings i.e. posDrawer2 & SharedPrinter2
OPOS Settings (Middleman for ClubSpeed to Printer)
- If there is not a printer related to a cash drawer (posDrawer2 ->SharedPrinter2) then the cash drawer will be unable to be "talked" too.
- Printer - Add a new device via button
- Select TM-T88IIIM
- Model: TM-T88IIIME
- Logical Device Name: SharedPrinter2
- Network: 172.0.43.27 (this is subject to change)
- Click the Update button
- Click Finish
Drawer - Add a new device via button
- Select Standard
- Model: StandardE
- Logical Device Name: posDrawer2
- Network: same IP as related to the printer
- Ensure Communication Settings are: High & 2 (under the Device Specific Settings)
- Click Finish > OK
*If the drawer is having receipt printer connection issues, and you have tried everything else, ensure it is Epson compatible.
If someone cannot connect to the printer
- Than this "Reset" function can be used
- OR Go to the task manager
- Ask them to turn the printer off and than logoff session(s) (possibly more than one)
- Then have them turn the printer back on and have them re-login
*Notes on Printer Options
- Logo is in the controlpanel with the settingName "CompanyLogoPath". This is the path of the image, must be 2-bit monochrome, otherwise receipt printer errors out
TM-m30 - Admin portal log on
- If you are installing a TM-m30, you might need to log onto the web portal to adjust settings. If you do, it is password protected. Below are the default credentials to use:
- User: epson
- Password: epson
