Clocking In & Out
If you plan to use the Time Clock feature within clubspeed, you probably want to know how it all works together. So let's get started!
If you haven't already, please make sure that each employee has a pay rate set in the HR tab.
// You can refer to that article here.
- Create user login in HR. Set the hourly pay rate!
- Clocking in for shifts on POS
- Payroll Report
How Will Our Staff Clock in?
// When your staff arrives for their shift, they can clock in at any Clubspeed terminal; POS, PIT, OFF
They will log into Clubspeed, if the terminal is not already logged in.
- Click on the Menu Module
- Select Clock In
- Enter in POS code to the CardID field ( or Swipe Card)
- Click the SUBMIT button
- Click OK to confirm you'd like to clock in.
- The click close on the timestamp confirmation window.
// Now, everyone will be able to see who is currently clocked in.
Alternative Location to Clock in/out
Option 2: Click the Clubspeed logo in the top-left corner of the terminal, then select Clock In / Clock out button.
Option 3: While on the Point of Sale Module, press the F3 key on the keyboard. This will prompt the time clock module to display.
How Will Our Staff Clock out for Lunch or Break?
// There are TWO options for clocking out. They will access the TimeClock module the same way as when they clocked in for their shift. Except it will prompt them to either clock out for a Break (PAID BREAK), or Clock OUT (NOT PAID).
If you do not wish for the 'Take A Break' button to appear, please contact CS support to have this turned off for you.
Take a Break - is used for those areas that are required to give their staff a paid break after so many hours of work. This allows your management to keep track that these breaks were taken, and also to make sure that they are not being taken advantage of. Once an employee has completed their break, they will be required to clock back in to note the break is over and they are back to work.
Clock Out - is used for unpaid lunch breaks or when they are leaving work for the day.
EXAMPLE - Take a Break
EXAMPLE - Clock OUT
What if an employee has two roles assigned to their account?
// If an employee has two roles (or more) assigned to their account, the system will prompt them to select the role they are logging into for the day.
Example:
- Mechanic during the week
- Track Personnel on the weekend
