MyLaps - Non-X2 Setup / Troubleshooting (No LCD Desiplay)
Setup:
On devices without a display (AMB20/TranX2), the attached "DecoderWizard" can normally be used to locate and update the IP address. Serial port works most reliably. The auto location over network is sketchy at best.
The default IP on older AMB decoders without an LCD is 192.168.1.10 (or 192.168.0.10).
On devices with a display (TranX3), the LCD display interface can be used to set the IP address.
Troubleshooting: Connecting Directly to the Decoder
Telnet/Putty to <decoderIP> port 5100 to receive the stream of AMB "Enhanced" protocol messages.
Lines that start with a "#" Ex: # 20 90 40 0 xA5D0
These are heart beat messages. These come across every five seconds. The "39" is the base noise levels. MyLaps recommends that the base noise is 40 or below.
Lines that start with a "@" Ex: @ 20 98 7148439 198497.595 36 180 2 x51E8
These are passings. The "7148439" is the transponder, the "198497.595 is the timestamp of the passing. "36" and "180" are the # of hits and signal level. MyLaps recommends that these two numbers are at least 60 apart.
