Installing Result/Waiver Printer
**If anyone asks you for a recommendation for a result printer, it is easiest for setup if they have the same make and model printer that they had before since the driver is already installed and the process to switch them can be very quick**
- First, ensure that you have the following two items:
- IP address of printer needing installed (try to make it static)
- The make and model of the printer, and/or the driver for the specific printer
- You may need to download off the manufacturer's website
- Open up Start > Devices and Printers
- Near the top of the window click Add Printer
- Click Add a local printer
- Here is where you will need to determine whether a port is already created for the specified IP address above (the IP of the printer), or if you need to create a new one
- If you have Use an existing port selected, click the drop down and you should see something like: TCP/IP: IP_X.X.X.X (where the IP will be shown)
- If you don't see the port already created, select Create a new port
- From the drop down select Standard TCP/IP Port
- On the next screen, type in the IP address - the Name field will auto populate
- It will then bring you to a driver screen, browse to the downloaded driver
- The file you are looking for in the folder should be an .ini file or driver file
- Click Ok, the next screen may allow you to choose between which printer you are installing if it is an universal driver
- Click Ok, your driver will now install
- When asked to name the printer, ensure to match to what the Database has, usually ResultPrinter1 (Check in 'tracks' in the database)
- It may ask if you want to share the printer, you can choose Do Not Share
- Lastly, print a test page to ensure the server can communicate with the printer and Click Ok
