Assigning Transponders

In this section we will review how to add & remove transponders to karts, as well as enabling and disabling karts in the system. The PDF at the bottom of this doc is a spanish translation(Al fin de este documento hay un PDF que tiene los direcciones en espanol)

You will need to log into any terminal PIT / POS / OFF and view the Race Control Module!

Refer to this article on launching Clubspeed

Step 1

// Kart Numbers

By default, you have kart numbers 1 - 50 in the system ready for you to use, but you can always manually add in any numbers higher than that you may need.

1. In any of the terminals that have access to the Race Control (OFF1, POS, PIT1) select the Kart Setting Button.

2. To add a new kart number, click on the Add Kart button. (Numerical ONLY!)

3. To manually add transponder number, click Add Transponder button (Numerical ONLY!)

    - If your timing system is already setup in the Clubspeed system, you can also drive/wave the transponders over the loop and they will automatically add to the system for you. This helps alleviate human error when entering the numbers!

Step 2

// Assign Transponders to Kart Numbers

1. Select the Transponder

2. Select the Kart Number you wish to assign to above transponder

3. Click Assign button in the middle

4. Click enable on the right

5. Continue steps 1 - 4 until all transponders are assigned to karts, then click close!

    - You will now see all of your kart numbers in the grid available to be assigned to customers for races.

// Did you accidentally assign the wrong transponder to the wrong kart #?! Or maybe you just need to move the transponder to a different kart...No worries!

    - From the Kart Setting window, simply click on the kart number, Disable (if it was already enabled), then Remove!

TIPS

// Disabling Karts

If you have a kart out of commission in the mechanics area, you can disable the kart in the kart settings window to hide it from the Kart Grid. This way, the kart number is not accidentally assigned to a customer in a race!

    - When the kart is all fixed up, simply click on it again and then click Enable.

// Report a Problem with a Kart

Do your mechanics use our Garage terminal? If so, your track staff can now select a kart number from the list and select Report Problem and enter in a short note as to what is wrong with the kart. Short and sweet is always best; IE Flat F-L Tire, Broken Seat Belt, etc.

No more sticky notes to be lost because these will appear in the Kart problem Report! The best part is, the system will hold this history if you ever need to refer back to it. <Check out our Garage setup here>
