1 - Preperation/Hyper-V Setup
- Verify which Server to copy the database
- Have somebody at Team Sport turn Hyper Visualization on in the Bios
- Log onto that server and download disk2vhdx (this will make an copy of the entire server and save it to a VHDX file format to use in the Hyper-V
- Copy the file to the new server
- Go to 'Add Roles and Features Wizard'
- click next using defaults until you get to the 'Server Roles' section
- Click 'Hyper-V' & next (click add features on the pop up). Continue to click Next using defaults (Except - Select Ethernet when prompted) then install [This step will take about 30 minutes]
- Restart Server
- Open Hyper-V Manager > Select New > Virtual Machine
- Click Next > Name it the track name "TS-Nottingham" Next x3
- Configuring Networking - Choose the Ethernet card on the server (should be only option) Next
- Connect Virtual Hard Disk - Choose 'Use an existing Virtual Hard Disk" & choose the file you imported earlier > Finish
- Right click on the new VM > Settings
- Change Memory to Dynamic w/ 20% buffer. Start memory should be 4000 MB, Min 4000 MB and Max 13298 MB. Click Processors on the left & change it to 4 Processors > Click OK
- Right click on the new VM > Start. Right click on the VM > Connect [The 1st time it starts, it will take a while to start, might have send cnt+alt+del cmd
